For beginners, sometimes what computer to get holds us back from making games. My philosophy is that you should just pick one up and start.

good video motivated
thankyou man
Really if you want a standard laptop for game dev for the best experience is
I5 or i7. I3 is a little weak just because you want a laptop for use for 5 years.
8gb RAM. 16gb RAM is excellent. Over that is an overkill.
256SSD or more because you want to make a lot of games.
Any graphics card and a good displapy. 1920x 1080 is the best and a 15 inch size.
You shouldn't get a cheap laptop like 300 dollars but I think the budget should be between 500 to 800 dollars because you can use it for a long time instead buying a new one every year. Unless you are very careful.
Great video !
DUDE, YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW LONG IVE BEEN LOOKING FORNA VIDEO LIKE THIS!!!
I disagree – I would get as good a computer as you can afford. Much of my early frustration and discouragement came from an underspecced pc which made unity difficult to use even though it met the requirements. Also I think if you're developing games, it's good to also be able to play them
"AnY CoMPutEr wOrkS" my computer: Takes 10 min to render 1 photo.
Yeah… No
Hey sorry to ask a dumb question but would the Acer Aspire run Unreal engine 4
If you're just learning how to make games, I would stick to javascript and just do web-based games. Any computer that can access the web will do. Even though you will have to learn a new syntax when you switch to a more robust language like C#, the basics of coding (functions, variables, operators, etc.) are the same. What you really are learning is logic and applied mathematics. The other side to game development is the art/sound aspect. There are numerous tools for this, but 3d obviously has a higher learning curve than 2d. BTW, my first games were on the graphing calculators we had to use for math class in high school.
I've got a computer for approximately 850€ and it can run SIMPLE Unity games, but when I downloaded something complex, for example FPS sample and it didn't handle it. Not every computer can handle game development, mainly those low-specs ones will struggle with it. Even though it is possible, to run Unity, it doesn't guarantee that you can make complex 3D games
'ppreciate you bro
hello jim i want change my laptop to work space computer and i work as graphic designer on field game design and i beginner in thes field What are the specifications of the device that can withstand the pressure of work on video and production programs
macbook pro ain't cutting it i can't even download assets it's either that or the internet
Thanks for explaining this. A lot of people just say you need the best pcs with core i9 and gtx 2080s five different ssds (obviously I'm exaggerating) but basically I can't make a game on my laptop. It's 32gb plus if I get a memory stick it normally breaks as the laptop's usb ports are quite bad
You obviously haven’t seen my 2gig ram laptop
great video, truthfully i have to do a video on this too, I have a 4 core CPU but my UNITY game became AAA overnight need an 8 core now haha
What is good macbook air or mac pro but the last one is much price for me
You have no idea how much this has helped me thanks for this video bro! As a fellow creator hope your channel survives COPPA smh sad I even have to say that
Reading spec on website wow anyone can do that . And can't you see unreal engine system requirements page is outdated you stupid . We came here to know the specs real game dev use not a man reading specs which anyone can do
Thanks bro💖💖.
You just kickstarted me🙄😆😆
I am quite shocked tbh 😬 i thought making a decent game require a very high pc since the Graphics,Photoshop, and the smoothness of the physics are involved
I have a Core i3 laptop with 2gb ram and an Intel something graphics card would i be able to create an Android game for example ?
I have 650$, Can i do it ?!
Amen! 4:31–4:36
Love u fatty
U are the best bro
